Kingsand has an attractive, sheltered sand and shingle beach close to pubs, cafes and beach shops. Thee is easy easy access from the town. The beach has lots of rock pools to explore and there are also boats available to hire. The bathing is generally safe unless the wind is blowing from the south east.

The small sheltered cove has a gently sloping sandy beach and is ideal for families. There are plenty of good walks along the South West Coast Path and a walk up to St Catherine’s Castle provides excellent views across the estuary.

Porthpean beach is approximately 220 metres long, sheltered, with rocky pools at its southern end and cliffs adjoining three of its boundaries. The beach slopes gently into the sea and is regarded as being the local family beach with a small promenade to the rear of the beach with a café/shop and toilet.
