A popular destination for families who want to enjoy a lazy day at the beach. Swimming is reasonably safe away from the river mouth and there are a number of sand dunes for the children to explore.
The small sheltered cove has a gently sloping sandy beach and is ideal for families. There are plenty of good walks along the South West Coast Path and a walk up to St Catherine’s Castle provides excellent views across the estuary.

The sandy cove is popular with surfers and swimmers. It’s also a popular location for sailing, jet skiing and windsurfing and zoning is used to increase safety on the water.
This is a pretty cove with a sandy beach in the harbour at low tide. There are coastal walks in either direction and there’s also a cave on the beach that leads to a neighbouring cove.
