Sandy beach stretching for two miles - great for fossils and rock pools
Charmouth West, otherwise known as 'The Jurassic Coast', is an extremely scenic beach that stretches for two miles with intervening rock pools between Black Venn and Golden Cap.
Rockley Sailing School, Rockley Diving Centre and the Hobbie Cat Centre are active throughout the year and provide excellent tuition and some hire facilities. There is a small beach shop and café. Rockley sands is a friendly little beach which plays host to many water activities but still manages to keep its quiet, rural charm.
An idyllic strip of sandy beach bordering Christchurch Harbour and adjacent to the ancient headland of Hengistbury Head. A picturesque, peaceful site without vehicular access.
Fine beaches stretch continuously for 3 miles from South Haven Point to the Chalk cliffs of Handfast Point and Old Harry Rocks, and include Shell Bay and a designated naturist area.
There's plenty going on, including regular firework festivals throughout the summer, KidZone beach areas, an Imax Cinema and an Oceanarium.
