Rockley Sailing School, Rockley Diving Centre and the Hobbie Cat Centre are active throughout the year and provide excellent tuition and some hire facilities. There is a small beach shop and café. Rockley sands is a friendly little beach which plays host to many water activities but still manages to keep its quiet, rural charm.

Bowleaze Cove lies just to the East of Weymouth, yet within Weymouth Bay and can be walked to via Preston Beach. It is situated within the parish of Preston, which is known for the Roman relics discovered over the years.

The sheltered nature of this unique cove makes it the ideal place for swimming, snorkelling or just relaxing. There’s an excellent cliff top walk to Durdle Door and during the summer you can take boat trips along the Jurassic Coast.

Highcliffe Castle Beach, Christchurch, Dorset

This beach is less commercial than the neighbouring ones and is reached by steps that run down the wooded cliff from the castle grounds. There are good views to the Isle of White and the sand and water are clean and safe.

The beach is quieter than some of the others in Poole and is popular with locals. The water is clean and safe and the beach is an ideal place to visit with or without children.
